Secret Santa Saskatoon

Every year IRD team members donate toys for less-fortunate children in Saskatoon

Secret Santa is very familiar to everyone in Saskatoon as an organization that provides food hampers and toys to less fortunate families every year during the Christmas season. The Secret Santa Foundation is a federally registered charity with a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of community-minded citizens.

St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation

St. Paul's Hospital Foundation is an independent body committed to advancing the mission, vision and values of St. Paul's Hospital by raising, managing and allocating funds for St. Paul's Hospital in keeping with donors' wishes.

As health care costs continue to rise and new medical technological advances emerge, the work of St. Paul's Hospital Foundation becomes more and more crucial to ensuring our physicians and health-care workers have the most up-to-date and advanced equipment with which to diagnose and treat patients.  

Computers for Schools by Sasktel and Pioneers

Computers for Schools was co-founded in 1993 by Industry Canada and the TelecomPioneers, refurbishing computers and related equipment donated by governments and businesses. These computers are distributed across Canada to schools, libraries, and registered not-for-profit learning organizations.


Every November a group from IRD joins teams across Canada in this annual fundraiser to spread awareness and fundraise for Men's Health.

The Movember Foundation is a global charity committed to men living happier, healthier, longer lives. Since 2003, millions have joined the men’s health movement, raising $677 million and funding over 1,000 projects focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity.

Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation

October is Breast Health month in Canada. Every year IRD team members sponsor fundraising events in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation is Canada’s leading community-driven breast cancer charity dedicated to:

  1. Funding relevant and innovative research
  2. Supporting and advocating for the breast cancer community and
  3. Providing credible, unbiased information to help empower those affected by breast cancer or at increased genetic risk of developing the disease

Relay For life Saskatoon: A-Team

IRD supports the A-Team for the Relay for Life, a 24 hour relay in Saskatoon in support of the Canadian Cancer Society.  

Relay For Life gives you and your community the opportunity to celebrate cancer survivors, remember and honour loved ones lost to cancer, and fight back against all cancers.

C95 Radio Marathon for Breast Cancer Research

All money raised will be donated to the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency where 100% percent of the money stays in Saskatchewan and goes directly towards funding numerous local research projects.

Saskatchewan Children’s Hospital

The Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan sees a future where our province’s children and families have access to the very best in pediatric and maternal care, equipment and research. We see a future where children and families have a dedicated world-class facility that will meet their needs right here at home. We all win with a gift that gives back to our friends, family, neighbors, community, and province.

Truckers Against Trafficking

Truckers Against Trafficking exists to educate, equip, empower and mobilize members of the trucking and travel plaza industry to combat domestic sex trafficking.

SaskTel Aboriginal Youth Awards of Excellence

The SaskTel Aboriginal Youth Awards of Excellence celebrate outstanding achievement in our young people. The Wicihitowin Foundation established the awards in 1997 with the support of the public, government, and private sector.

City Hospital Foundation

Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation builds relationships and raises funds to support excellence and innovation in the work of Saskatoon City Hospital with its patients and communities that it serves.

Heart and Stroke Foundation/FMG Dragon Boat Saskatoon

The Dragon Boat race is an annual fundraiser in Saskatoon and other locations across Canada. IRD team members participate this boat race along the South Saskatchewan River in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Healthy lives free of heart disease and stroke. Together we will make it happen.

Cameco Spectrum 2016

Spectrum was first held in 1930 as a forum for students of the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Engineering to present their design projects to friends, family, and faculty. Since then, Spectrum has grown to become known as “North America’s largest student-run exhibition of Science and Technology”. The exhibition takes place every three years and is organized by students from the College of Engineering

Tanya Maria Loewen Memorial Award

In Memory of Tanya Loewen, a coworker and good friend to many IRD team members.

This award is offered annually to female students who are entering their final or next to final year towards a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, specializing in any discipline.

Fundacion Luz

For almost 10 years IRD PAT employees have made contributions to the “Fundación Luz” (Light Foundation), a school for visually impaired children in Chile.
