Position: Project Controller/Financial Analyst

Location: Saskatoon, SK

Project Controller/Financial Analyst Purpose: 

As part of an innovative and fun team, you will be responsible for the financial integrity of the company’s projects. Working closely with the finance and operation teams, you will manage the day-to-day accounting administration, cost reporting and help us to utilize our accounting and finance software to analyze the data and represent the information to stakeholders to assist in making informed decisions. You will also support the annual audit of project accounting. We are looking for someone with the following: 

A drive for excellence, analytical, a creative problem solver, and a collaborative team player! Demonstrated proficiency with: 

  • Strong analytical skills to pull insights from complex data sets 
  • Ability to prepare and analyze project budgets and financial forecasts
  • Project contract requirements, invoicing and application of IFRS 15 Revenue Recognition
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement within ERP systems (EPM)
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to apply professional judgement and to prioritize tasks in a high-volume workload
  • Ability to collaborate with leaders across multiple functions
  • Providing guidance, coaching and encouragement to co-workers

 

Qualifications needed: 

  • Degree in Commerce or Business Administration, with a major in Accounting, is preferred
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation (or working towards)
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to pass a background check
