European General Manager Purpose:

This position will be essential in supporting our growth in Europe.  The European General Manager will be essential in shaping our future growth in Europe, leading our existing subsidiaries in the EU region and assisting our head office executive team in the search and integration of future acquisitions.

  • Sets the direction to operate consistently towards common goals
  • Owns the corporate budget in terms of revenue and operating unit profit, defines the growth strategy
  • Displays passion for profit and growth, motivates and gains the teams’ commitment to work towards the same goals
  • Develops a common sales and marketing plan which supports the strategic goals, acts as a brand ambassador responsible for customizing and introducing IRD’s solutions in Europe
  • Diversifies current customer base and coordinates the sales strategy across group companies to achieve critical mass
  • Leverages scale to penetrate more remote markets in Europe
  • Working with sales teams to foster cross-selling and integration of management systems to ensure financial control and operational optimization
  • Continues the search for complementarity acquisition potentials
  • Foster cohesion across respective brands, organizations, and cultural heritage with a coherent portfolio of technologies and products and a coordinated sales strategy to achieve global reach.

Qualifications needed:

  • University degree in engineering, economics, or similar education
  • Sales and marketing leadership experience
  • General Management or executive experience in a high-tech industry
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Other languages considered an asset
