Location: The following are the names and locations of the IRD sites in South Africa:
1. Bumulani (Located North of the city of Pretoria)
2. Stornvoel (Located in Central Pretoria)
3. Doorndoort (Located West of Pretoria)
Following these, the customer requested for IRD to install an additional three (3) sites. The site names are as follows:
4. Babong (Located between the cities of Brith & Rastenburg)
5. Zeerust (Located in the city of Zeerust)
6. Heitleberg (Located South of Heitleberg)
Project Description: IRD supplied and installed three (3) half lanes of bending plate sensors and electronics for three (3) sites. The system does not have a separate axle sensor. The system was originally to be a UNIX system, but was changed to DOS as the customer was familiar with that operating system and was able to develop his own classification scheme.
