Each permanent weigh station consists of a medium speed scale for vehicle selection purposes and a low speed scale for law enforcement purposes. Bending plate scales with DOS WIM electronics were used as the medium speed scale. A slow roll over scale with UNIX WIM electronics is used as the low speed scale. Over height sensors are located near the medium speed scale and near the low speed scale to determine if any vehicle has exceeded the limit.
