Project Description: IRD supplied four (4) Bending Plate WIM systems that the client used in a Weigh Station application. The equipment includes 16 Bending Plate weigh pads, 16 Bending Plate vault frames, eight (8) inductive loops, four (4) 1068 WIM electronics, four (4) termination panels, and miscellaneous quantities of lightning protection equipment.
IRD supplied computer simulation software which can be loaded on any Pentium based IBM compatible Personnel Computer to generate simulated vehicle records. These records are created by entering vehicle information on the computer’s keyboard. Once entered, the vehicle record can be transmitted as an RS-232 data stream through one of the computer’s COM ports by simply pressing the return key on the keyboard. The vehicle data stream is identical in format to the vehicle records that are generated by the IRD WIM computer in the operating systems. This simulation software was provided as a tool to assist the client in the development of the Station Computer software. It was replaced by the WIM computer software in the completed system.
