Project Description: IRD supplied a total of 14 weigh stations to the Ministry of Communications in Saudi Arabia. Six (6) of the weigh stations were dual sorters with a MSWIM using bending plates located on the ramp and a SSWIM for precision weighing. Eight (8) of the weigh stations have ramps for the trucks to slow down on, with a SSWIM scale at the end for precision weighing. Although there are ramps into the station, the bending plate is located next to the weigh station (on the side closest to the highway). The SSWIM is located next to the scale house on the side closest to the parking lot.
IRD worked closely with contractors and the Ministry to ensure the success of this project.
