Project Description: IRD installed and commissioned the toll audit systems at 28 Toll lanes at the Coimbatore and Athupalam Bridge. The system integrates TC/Cs (Traffic Counter Classifiers), road sensors, and associated hardware for all the 28-lanes. The system has been designed to collect traffic count and classification data to allow the authorities to audit the manual revenue collection. In addition to this it also provides accurate and reliable traffic data at tolls plazas. Based on the TCC data and operator entered data, per lane per shift audit is done. The information collected is also used for number of purposes such as resource management and future planning.
