Project Description: The purpose of the project is to supply, install, and commission 24 lanes of iTOLL collection equipment. Out of these 24 sets of lane equipment,

12 will be installed as mixed mode unidirectional lanes (one set of equipment per lane) that can accept cash and pre-paid smart cards for payment.
Remaining 12 lanes of equipment shall be installed in six (6) traffic lanes (two (2) sets of lane equipment per traffic lane) and shall function as mixed mode reversible lanes. All the standard lane equipment in the reversible lanes will be the same as in unidirectional lanes.
Out of the 12 unidirectional lanes, two (2) lanes on each direction of traffic shall be dedicated unmanned gated ETC lanes.

Each lane is a post classification toll auditing system, including a LIU, treadle-loop-treadle configuration. The treadle supplied is a Single Dynax axle treadle. Other lane equipments include video capture camera, OHLS, TL, UFD, Smart card, and ETC as payment method abnd lane software, and basic surge protection equipment. This is IRD’s first installation of Electronic Toll Collection system (ETC) and the first microwave based ETC installation in India.
