The Wisconsin Hurley Station is a Virtual Weigh Station that is used for enforcement, data collection, and bridge monitoring on the Wisconsin-Michigan State Line. The WIM instrumentation is installed in two Eastbound lanes and two Westbound lanes on US Highway 2, approximately 200 feet east of the bridge structure over the Montreal River.
The project provides WIM information and images of four lanes of traffic. Information is accessed by users through a web page. Vehicle records and images can be also be archived on a remote workstation which has the required security access to the WIM system. Vehicle record data is available to the NU bridge monitoring system in order to correlate bridge load data collection with vehicle WIM data.Back to Projects
