Travel Messenger
The Travel Messenger keeps drivers informed by using traffic monitoring sensors to determine current conditions in work zones.
Accurate, current, and relevant messages are provided such as:
- Expected delay: "10 Minutes to end of work zone"
- Distance through work zone: "5 Miles to end of work zone"
- Reduced speeds ahead: "Slow Traffic Ahead"
- Custom messaging: "Exit 73 Closed"
The Travel Messenger is a stand alone system and can be integrated with the Lane Merger or Speed Ranger systems.
The Travel Messenger system may be enhanced with the addition of:
- Public access web-page using graphical status map to show current sign messages and traffic conditions
- Video camera system
- Data archive report module for viewing of historical information
