Traffic Counters & Classifiers
With the acquisition of ITC's line of traffic counters, IRD has been able to provide a full range of vehicle counters and classifiers. From the compact, yet versatile Mini ACE to the TRS Mini, Plus, and rack mounted vehicle classifiers, to the Tracker hand-held turning movement counter, IRD's traffic counter/classifier line-up has it all. To further enhance IRD's counter/classifier line-up, IRD is also the Canadian distributor for the Diamond Traffic line of counters and classifiers.
Accumulators (or total volume counters) are simple counters that accumulate the total volume of vehicles continuously or for 24 hour periods.
Interval counters collect traffic data for a specified period of time, at specified time intervals (ranging from 1minute to 24 hours depending on model).
Classifiers provide the most comprehensive traffic data collection. Total vehicle counts can be collected on 1 to 16 lanes, or vehicle speed and vehicle classification data can be collected on 1 to 8 lanes.
Classifiers with Weigh-In-Motion
Classifiers with Weigh-In-Motion provide all the same features of classifiers, but with the added function of Weigh-In-Motion.
Non-Intrusive Sensors for Counting and Classification
IRD offers acoustic and microwave sensors for counting and classification for applications where in-road and on-road sensors are not an option.
Handheld counters are designed for manual input of traffic data. Track turning movements at intersections effectively and easily.
Accurately detect and count people. People counters are instruments for counting pedestrian traffic at specific points. Outdoor applications include bike paths and trails. Indoor applications include entranceways at shopping centers, school campuses, stadiums, recreation centers, convention centers and casinos.
