The recent acquisition of the ITC line of traffic counters and classifiers rounds out IRD's traffic counter/classifier portfolio. Accumulators (or total volume counters) are simple counters that accumulate the total volume of vehicles continuously or for 24 hour periods.
Interval counters collect traffic data for a specified period of time, at specified time intervals (ranging from 1minute to 24 hours depending on model).
Classifiers provide the most comprehensive traffic data collection. Total vehicle counts can be collected on 1 to 16 lanes, or vehicle speed and vehicle classification data can be collected on 1 to 8 lanes.
Classifiers with Weigh-In-Motion
Classifiers with Weigh-In-Motion provide all the same features of classifiers, but with the added function of Weigh-In-Motion.
