About International Road Dynamics Inc.

International Road Dynamics Inc. (IRD) is an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) company and a world leader in the highway traffic management and in-vehicle systems solutions industry, specializing in traffic data collection, weight enforcement, commercial vehicle operations, toll operations, and safety. Over the past 35 years, IRD has diversified from both a markets and geographical perspective. What does it mean to be a Regional Supervisor for IRD?

Our Regional Supervisors play a key role as members of the Field Services team by taking ownership of our interests with customers in their region, and working cooperatively with our Project & Field Services staff to insure any contractual requirements exceed our customer’s expectations.

By following IRD’s ‘Customer Driven’ philosophy, our Regional Supervisors are part of a core team who are the first-line of contact for our clients on a daily basis.   Being able to handle requests, resolve customer issues, closely monitor and adhere to critical response times for Service Contracts, completing accurate documentation and paperwork along with supervising and directing Field staff, can all be a part of your day-to-day work.

This is a crucial job, with high expectations.  Physical work such as in-road and roadside-construction tasks, testing and calibration of systems and components, directing and coordinating subcontractors for installations and service schedules means there won’t be much time spent sitting in your truck.   As a leader, you will also guide and mentor your team using performance evaluation tools to support employee learning and growth, and to be directly responsible to ensure that employees under your direct supervision know and comply with health and safety regulations.

If you are looking for a challenging and exciting career where you get to apply your leadership skills combined with hands-on experience everyday, we want to speak with you!

What you’ll bring:

  • A focus on delivering exceptional customer service
  • Solid experience of delivering on-time performance for large, commercial or construction based contracts
  • A team-player mentality, with the ability to work closely with all levels of staff both in the field and in head office

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Previous experience leading and coordinating work schedules with subcontractors and field staff
  • Excellent track record for promoting safety best-practices
