Product Sales Specialist

iCOMS is an Intelligent Transportation Systems company located in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium. Founded in 1993, iCOMS specializes in the design and manufacture of radar microwave detectors and equipment. The company’s products and services are used to detect and count vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians in urban intersections, as speed measurement and warning systems, as traffic counting and data collection systems, and for intelligent lighting.

What you’ll bring

  • Strong understanding of sales strategies and tactics
  • Key account management skills to identify and define future customer needs and market direction
  • Possess a fundamental understanding on how to convert client needs into revenue through effective solutions and services
  • Strong proposal writing skills to research, monitor and respond to bidding opportunities, announcements and market trends
  • Significant written and oral communication skills in order to provide ongoing updates to the IRD Sales team on opportunities
  • Excellent presentation and documentation skills to present and maintain records of all relevant information for the development of sales forecasts, short-term/long-term growth objectives

What we look for

  • Post-secondary degree or college diploma, and/or minimum 3+ years of sales experience
  • Previous technical proposal preparation experience
  • Ability to understand, articulate and explain technical details
  • Ability to work well independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a demanding environment
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and passport
  • Must be able to travel frequently
